Overview
We are seeking a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Service Engineer to play a crucial role in delivering the technical aspects across a broad spectrum of engineering, supporting the Operations delivery teams and undertaking roles involving the servicing of environmental protection equipment. You will be key to technical proposals/ solutions for clients, ensuring that delivery is executed according to relevant standards and good practice guidance.
Responsibilities
- Audit sites to ensure compliance with Adler and Allan standards and specifications, client expectations and sound safety practices are observed.
- Promote safety to ensure we operate a safe and professional service.
- Be able to problem solve and resolve issues on site.
- Assist in the delivery of interceptor installations, de‑commissioning, and servicing.
- Continually assess and ensure day to day operations and service delivery is of the highest quality, accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare scope of works documents, risk assessments and method statements.
- Operate Company vehicles which the post holder is suitably qualified to operate.
- Prepare estimates and proposals to clients following site surveys.
- Complete all works paperwork and submit it in a timely manner to depot and group management.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of single and three‑phase motors.
- Knowledge of separator/interceptor systems.
- Understanding of relevant standards and good practice, BS EN 858‑2:2003 Separator systems for light liquids and BS EN 1825 for Grease separators is preferable.
- Basic knowledge of electrical control panels.
- Knowledge of Sewage Treatment plants and pumping stations.
- Experience issuing and completing RAMS documentation.
- Sound engineering knowledge.
- Willingness to work in an environment of change, dealing with emergency works is essential.
- Flexible approach to working hours, travel and working days is required.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and E‑Mail; able to prepare and present reports using such applications.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to undertake additional training as required to meet the needs of the depot/group.
