Overview

We are seeking a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Service Engineer to play a crucial role in delivering the technical aspects across a broad spectrum of engineering, supporting the Operations delivery teams and undertaking roles involving the servicing of environmental protection equipment. You will be key to technical proposals/ solutions for clients, ensuring that delivery is executed according to relevant standards and good practice guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Audit sites to ensure compliance with Adler and Allan standards and specifications, client expectations and sound safety practices are observed.
  • Promote safety to ensure we operate a safe and professional service.
  • Be able to problem solve and resolve issues on site.
  • Assist in the delivery of interceptor installations, de‑commissioning, and servicing.
  • Continually assess and ensure day to day operations and service delivery is of the highest quality, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare scope of works documents, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Operate Company vehicles which the post holder is suitably qualified to operate.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals to clients following site surveys.
  • Complete all works paperwork and submit it in a timely manner to depot and group management.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of single and three‑phase motors.
  • Knowledge of separator/interceptor systems.
  • Understanding of relevant standards and good practice, BS EN 858‑2:2003 Separator systems for light liquids and BS EN 1825 for Grease separators is preferable.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical control panels.
  • Knowledge of Sewage Treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Experience issuing and completing RAMS documentation.
  • Sound engineering knowledge.
  • Willingness to work in an environment of change, dealing with emergency works is essential.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, travel and working days is required.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and E‑Mail; able to prepare and present reports using such applications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training as required to meet the needs of the depot/group.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
