Job Responsibilities

The Business Development Director will work globally with production, marketing, operations management and senior leadership to acquire new business in the target territory. The role involves a customer‑centric sales methodology and contributes to the overall customer experience.

  • Make contact with clients to develop and maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors, Enterprise Project Managers and Project Managers to create territory, account and opportunity plans, RFPs, SOWs and quotes.
  • Maintain customer data in Salesforce.com, including forecasts, plans, activities, opportunities and pipelines.
  • Coordinate RFP/RFQ/RFI responses as needed.
  • Travel approximately 30% to attend customer visits and industry events.
  • Define the value proposition and service offerings for existing and new clients.
  • Generate higher return on sales and marketing efforts to increase target client volume.
  • Move opportunities along the sales process to achieve closed sales above budget.
  • Take responsibility for designated clients, territories, verticals, horizontals, service offerings and projects.
  • Collaborate with the global team to define and align internal and external expectations to deliverables.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university. A plus for related experience and/or training.
  • Five years of enterprise‑level, business‑to‑business sales experience in professional services and technology solutions to Fortune 500 and mid‑market customers.
  • Minimum of two consecutive years of closed sales in new business of at least $2million per year.
  • Experience in closed sales in large accounts within the company or externally in a like industry.
  • Proven track record in lead generation, key account targeting, qualifying and closing new business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three to five years of enterprise‑level sales experience in the localization industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute on a successful business‑development strategy.
  • Experience structuring, negotiating and closing multi‑million dollar accounts with leading companies, especially in technology, manufacturing, consumer, travel/hospitality and finance industries.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and financial/operational analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills with a bias toward data‑based decision making.
  • Tenacity and sense of urgency.
