Teach Plus is working with a welcoming primary school seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within EYFS. This full‑time Teaching Assistant role involves planning engaging learning activities, delivering high‑quality Phonics sessions, and leading targeted EYFS intervention groups to help children develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in their early education.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS lessons and learning activities.
  • Plan and deliver targeted Phonics interventions for small groups of pupils.
  • Lead additional EYFS intervention groups to support children’s academic and social development.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children’s development.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Experience working in EYFS within a primary school
  • Strong Phonics knowledge relevant to the role
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
