Children’s Support Worker
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? A specialist school in North Liverpool is seeking dedicated Children’s Support Workers to join their team, supporting pupils aged 3–19 with:
- Autism (ASC)
- Complex Needs
- PMLD
- SEMH
- Learning Difficulties
About the Role
You’ll work as part of a supportive, skilled team to help pupils access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a nurturing environment. Every day is different, and your impact will be immediate and meaningful.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support
- Assisting with communication, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing
- Supporting personal care where required
- Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and wider school staff
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in SEND, care, youth work, or a related field (school or non‑school settings welcome)
- A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
