About the Role
Joining the Operations team of a well‑established and growing UK based advanced manufacturing business, you will play a key role in supporting production, improving manufacturing processes, and contributing to ongoing operational excellence within a technically driven environment.
The role is extremely varied, working cross‑functionally with Production, Quality & Engineering, providing incredible diversity in your engineering career and exposure to working in an SME environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production and manufacturing processes.
- Improve processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Quality & Engineering.
- Ensure compliance with H&S / COSHH regulations and create risk assessments.
- Lead and run own projects, with seniority and scope for progress.
Qualifications
- Degree educated Engineer or similar (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Electro‑Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or production environments.
- Background in advanced engineering industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, General Manufacturing, Food / Process or Pharma.
- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements.
- Experience working with capital equipment, industrial machinery, CNC machinery.
- Installation, service, commissioning or general maintenance experience; PLC, controls or electrical knowledge is useful but not a necessity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders in a dynamic SME environment.
Benefits
Starting salary £40,000 – £45,000 (TBC), 25 days holiday, 37.5 hour week, 8am‑4pm Mon‑Fri. The role is commutable from Oxford, Aylesbury, Bicester, High Wycombe, Haddenham, Thame, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
