Petroleum Transport Driver – CDL Class A – Home Daily – Night Shift

Location: Sunbury, OH

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment before, during, and after operation of the tractor/trailer combination.
• Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment to ensure serviceability.
• Perform minor repairs on worn fuel delivery equipment.
• Ensure all unit and product documents are present and comply with current DOT and HAZMAT regulations.
• Safely operate a fuel delivery tractor/trailer combination.
• Adhere to fuel loading terminal operating instructions and emergency procedures.
• Operate the tractor/trailer combination in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations in both urban and rural environments and in all weather conditions.
• Comply with all terminal loading procedures.
• Determine tank measurements before and after delivery, checking for water and other contamination.
• Follow company procedures for loading and unloading a fuel delivery unit.
• Employ customer service skills consistent with the company customer relations policy.
• Safely operate the unit pump system to deliver fuel products into above‑ground tanks.
• Operate the On‑Board computer system to maintain driver logs and trip information and prepare customer bills of lading (BOL).
• Accurately provide assessment information on BOL.
• Provide DOT with required information during inspections and stops.
• Conduct pump out of below or above‑ground tanks.

Requirements

• CDL Class A with Tanker and HazMat endorsements required.
• May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in the petroleum industry preferred.
• One‑year driving experience preferred.
• Completion of DOT physical and drug screen required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person or in writing required.
• Tractor/trailer driving experience preferred.
