Role Overview

As a Centre Manager, you’ll be accountable for leading and owning all Health Centre activities to ensure performance is optimised and clinical governance processes are adhered to. The role holder will drive and improve operational performance across all service lines and ensure the Bupa Health Centre consistently delivers the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction. You will take operational accountability for centre growth, quality improvement and people management and will drive a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing demand, understanding customers’ needs (adults and children) and delivering process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commercial and business needs of the Health Centre, overseeing and maintaining client contracts and business relationships.
  • Drive operational efficiency through effective utilisation and efficient scheduling of resources.
  • Strive for profitable growth, driving innovation and keeping the customer at the centre of everything we do.
  • Use insights from the Net Promoter System to continually drive improvements to the customer experience across the Health Centre.
  • Own the local marketing plan, raise the centre’s profile in the local community and convert leads into new business using Marketing and Sales expertise.
  • Act as the operational lead with key corporate companies and support the Area Manager with new business and service line developments, client relations and tenders.
  • Analyse failure demand, customer satisfaction results, complaints and immediate feedback; work towards understanding the root cause and implement remedial actions.
  • Maintain and develop a robust control environment to ensure regulatory compliance (CQC) and appropriate accountability, without compromising commerciality and customer responsiveness.
  • Ensure all risks are managed in line with relevant risk appetite statements and Clinical Governance; foster a culture of compliance and achieve 100% regulatory compliance levels.
  • Work within the QMS framework.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of management experience in a busy health clinic environment.
  • Strong experience leading teams and people management; evidence of engaging and motivating staff.
  • Strong operational experience and ability to drive business performance.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, particularly health and care / wellbeing.
  • Track record of driving business performance and delivering results.
  • Strong problem‑solving and project‑management skills.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
