About the role
Senior UX/UI Designer at Northrop Grumman UK – responsible for high‑quality design artefacts supporting features defined from the projects prioritised roadmap. You will lead small teams in an Agile environment to protect national security through software applications that collect, analyse and inform decision‑making.
Role Responsibilities
- Confidently explain and present design choices to varied audiences.
- Create artefacts for the lean process, including wireframes, prototypes, customer journey maps, testing and research.
- Lead development of features, ensuring consistency and alignment with design aims.
- Accountable for quality delivery when leading small teams.
- Facilitate workshops to build collaboration among project teams.
- Work with Product Owners, project stakeholders and key role holders to deliver desired user experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- A varied portfolio demonstrating design thinking and research/testing methods.
- Some experience managing designers and project work.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas, giving feedback, and maintaining quality control aligned with the UX charter.
- Solid understanding of UX practices in software development.
- Good understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design techniques, or willingness to learn.
Security Clearance
SC clearance (or eligibility) required. British National required for this clearance type.
