Training & Development

Supported day‑to‑day by an experienced mentor at your base location. Monthly visits from a training assessor. Initial induction and training at head office (including uniform issue). Dedicated technical training days at head office during the programme. 20% of your working hours spent in training or study. Delivered by E.J. Markham & Son Ltd. By the end of the programme, you will be fully trained as a Level 3 Glazing Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Repair chips in vehicle glass
  • Replace windscreens and body glass on a range of vehicles
  • Recalibrate sensors for features such as automatic wipers, automatic braking, lane detection systems
  • Use modern vehicle technology and learn the latest tools and techniques
  • Manual handling and lifting of vehicle glass
  • Pass the UK driving test by the end of the apprenticeship (if not already passed)
  • Once qualified, work field‑based and conduct outdoor work

Qualifications and Requirements

  • GCSE English Language or Literature – Grade 4 or above
  • GCSE Maths – Grade 4 or above
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Customer care and teamwork
  • Patience and a positive attitude
  • Physical fitness

Salary & Working Hours

Annual wage: £14,560 (with salary increase after 12 months). Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (35 hours per week). Start date: Monday 7 September 2026. Duration: 18 months.
