Class 1 Driver

Overview

We are recruiting experienced and reliable Class 1 Tramper Drivers for ongoing work with a well‑established logistics client based in Sherburn‑in‑Elmet. Immediate starts are available for the right candidates.

The role involves nationwide deliveries and collections across the UK. A hands‑on and flexible approach to work is essential.

Pay Rates

• £16.50 – £18.49 per hour weekdays
• £18.50 – £20.73 per hour weekends
• £25.00 night out allowance
• PAYE only

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
• Complete nationwide deliveries and collections
• Work with flat and step‑frame trailers
• Secure and check loads safely using straps
• Assist with securing straps, unstrapping and unloading where required
• Deliver into busy areas and sites across the UK
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Complete paperwork and delivery records accurately
• Follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Experience with flatbed or step‑frame trailers preferred
• Experience securing loads with straps preferred
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Comfortable with tramping and weekend work
