JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Credit Analyst

Reports To (Job Title): Deputy Manager / AVP – Syndication & Credit

Department: Syndication & Credit Analysis

JOB ROLE:

• Support the Syndication team in evaluating, structuring, and monitoring syndicated and bilateral loan transactions.
• Conduct detailed financial and credit analysis of corporate borrowers.
• Assist in the preparation of credit proposals, risk assessments, and transaction documentation.
• Liaise with arrangers, participating banks, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of deals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct comprehensive credit appraisals, including analysis of financial statements, cash flows, and debt-servicing capacity.
• Prepare and review credit proposals for new and existing syndicated facilities, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Assist in deal structuring, pricing, and preparation of term sheets for syndication transactions.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Legal, and Operations for due diligence, documentation, and transaction execution.
• Monitor loan covenants, repayments, and portfolio performance to identify early warning signals.
• Maintain and update records of deal pipelines, loan exposures, and participant banks.
• Prepare periodic portfolio review reports, MIS, and presentations for management and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate with agent and participant banks for information exchange, documentation follow-ups, and reconciliations.
• Stay abreast of market developments, borrower performance, and sectoral trends to support credit decisions.
• Provide support in audit reviews, internal checks, and compliance reporting.
