Apprentice Plumbing and Heating – Customer Only
Based at our regional office in Maryport, with set days out in the community and to attend college.
Pay: £21,216 (under 20) – £24,853 (21 and over). Hours: 37.5 hours per week. 51 months fixed term apprenticeship, with the potential for a permanent role at the end.

About the role
- Learn how to install, repair and maintain domestic plumbing and heating systems.
- Assist with safety checks and follow gas safety regulation.
- Diagnose faults and help to fix issues in customers’ homes.
- Apply safe working practices and risk awareness.
- Work safely, following health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues, showing care, respect and good timekeeping.
- Progress through applying learning, working safely and gaining independence toward qualified status.
What qualification will you gain?
Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician, delivered by Lakes College. You’ll combine on-the-job learning with structured study, building skills and confidence that will support your long-term career.
Who we’re looking for
- Achieved GCSEs in English and Mathematics grades 9-4 (A*-C).
- Have IT confidence, or at least a basic understanding.
- Are keen to learn and develop new skills, for example communication both verbal and written.
- Share our values, want to make a difference, and thrive in a team environment.
- Are organised, curious and willing to ask questions.
- No previous experience required – we’ll support you every step of the way.
