Electrical/Mechanical Field Engineer

Job Overview

We are recruiting for the Permanent Position of a: Electrical/Mechanical Field Engineer. Our client are an international based company who manufacture and install bespoke automated cutting edge machines into manufacturing facilities across the UK, Europe and around the world.

Salary & Benefits

Basic salary from £44,000 up to £60,000 with overtime pay. Plus company car, pension, 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, private health care benefits package, and ongoing training.

Qualifications & Experience

• Electrical bias with some mechanical experience.
• HND or HNC qualified or equivalent.
• Work split 70% electrical / 30% mechanical.
• Apprentice trained.
• Read planned machine drawings.
• Experience working with PLCs, machine automation control systems.
• Advantage: worked with thermal heat type systems.
• Proven experience with fault finding, servicing & machine installation skills.
• Confident working with complex automated machinery.
• Confident in working alone or as part of a team on new machine installs.
• Ability to work with customers and complete technical reports & documentation.
• Can travel and stay away from home on services and new machine installations or for training on new machine upgrades.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
