Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support within a specialist educational setting in the Chippenham area.
This rewarding full-time position is available from September 2026, with flexibility for an earlier start if suitable.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an individual learner, providing personalised support that enables them to access education, develop confidence and achieve meaningful progress.
We’re looking for someone who has previous SEN experience and can confidently step into the classroom from the outset.
No two days are the same in this role. You’ll become a trusted adult, helping one pupil overcome barriers to learning while supporting their emotional wellbeing, communication and independence throughout the school day.
- Delivering dedicated one-to-one support tailored to individual needs.
- Encouraging participation during lessons and wider school activities.

- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development.

- Recording observations and contributing to progress reviews.

- Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
- Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
