Are you a senior infrastructure professional with a passion for enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and mission-critical environments?
We’re looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established international bank, taking ownership of a complex enterprise infrastructure supporting critical banking, treasury and trading operations. This is a hands‑on senior technical role offering the opportunity to work across infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud technologies and enterprise applications while helping shape the future of the IT estate.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and optimising Windows & Red Hat Linux server environments
- Administering VMware vSphere (v8+), Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam ONE & VRO
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy and enterprise endpoint management
- Maintaining Cisco networking, FortiGate firewalls and core network infrastructure
- Driving cyber security initiatives including SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint security and encryption
- Supporting business‑critical banking and trading platforms including Bloomberg FXT, Refinitiv Eikon, Murex and SWIFT
- Leading infrastructure improvements, automation projects, disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
- Producing technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational procedures
- Providing senior technical leadership and mentoring across the IT team
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure
- Experience within banking, financial services, treasury or trading environments would be ideal
Strong expertise across:
- VMware vSphere
- Veeam Backup & Replication
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Splunk, Tenable, SentinelOne or similar security technologies
- SQL Server
Desirable Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- CCNA
- Veeam VMCE
- CISSP
- PMP or PRINCE2
