Digital Applications Developer (Secondment)

The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a motivated and skilled Digital Applications Developer to join our developing in‑house applications development function. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, implementation and support of internally developed software applications and system integrations that underpin clinical, operational and corporate services across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex service requirements into secure, scalable and sustainable digital solutions that support high-quality service delivery and digital transformation.
- Support the development of web applications, APIs, integrations and databases using agreed frameworks, standards and development practices.
- Contribute to testing, documentation, application lifecycle management, incident resolution and continuous improvement, ensuring that internally developed solutions are safe, reliable, accessible and aligned with information governance and cyber security requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience of developing, implementing and supporting enterprise‑level applications and/or system integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with modern development technologies, such as .NET, C#, PHP, web frameworks, APIs and SQL Server or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non‑technical colleagues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
