HGV Class 2 Driver – Part Time
Dereham, Norfolk
£17.50 per hour 30 hours per week – Any 3 days per week Monday – Saturday)
Pilgrim Foodservice is an independent, family-run foodservice wholesaler supplying fresh, chilled, frozen, grocery and non-food products to hospitality customers across the UK. We serve customers across 17 counties and pride ourselves on reliability, quality and long-term relationships.
We are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C) to join our Transport team in Dereham, delivering foodservice products to our customers.
This is a multi-drop delivery driver role, where you will be the face of the business, ensuring customers receive their deliveries safely, accurately and on time.
About the Role
As an HGV Class 2 multi-drop driver, you will be responsible for delivering foodservice products to a wide range of hospitality customers including restaurants, pubs, schools and care homes.
This role is hands-on and physically active, involving manual handling and customer interaction throughout the day.
Typical responsibilities include:
Driving a Class 2 rigid vehicle on scheduled delivery routesCompleting multi-drop deliveries to hospitality customersSafely unloading goods using appropriate equipmentEnsuring orders are delivered accurately and on timeProviding friendly, professional service as the face of Pilgrim FoodserviceCarrying out daily vehicle safety checks and driver compliance requirements
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role you will need:
A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licenceDriver CPC qualificationDigital Tachograph CardA strong work ethic and good attention to detailExcellent customer service and communication skillsThe physical capability required for manual handling and foodservice deliveries
Applicants must also meet the company’s insurance requirements, and a driving licence check will be completed prior to interview.
