About the Role
You will advise the international business on day‑to‑day digital and technology matters, delivering the very highest standards of legal advice and regulatory compliance whilst supporting the business with its international growth. Your remit covers legal support to the global digital and technology teams encompassing product, engineering, data science, performance marketing and transformational outsourcing. You will negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts relating to outsourcing, licensing, hosting, digital marketing, software development and other third‑party engagements, and advise on AI scoping, implementation, guardrails and training. As required you will assist other areas of the business and legal team on a broad range of legal matters. You will also help the legal team develop and enhance effective working processes with the business to ensure objectives are achieved within appropriate timescales and with relevant stakeholder approval.
Responsibilities
- Advising on legal affairs relating to digital and technology, including AI, with supervision from the Senior Legal Counsel – Global Procurement
- Supporting the business with day‑to‑day legal queries, identifying legal risks and providing commercially sound advice
- Supervising junior team members
- Assisting with the development and implementation of legal procedures and policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts, legal documents and other regulatory or contractual requirements
- Supporting the business with legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when required
- Preparing and conducting legal training for staff

Professional Experience
- Qualified solicitor – England and Wales
- Commercial skill set, with strong knowledge of commercial law and the digital, technology, IT legal space
- Solid training and qualifications from a leading national or international law firm or reputable business
- In‑house experience is highly desirable
- Experience of working for a global brand and advising on multi‑jurisdictional issues is highly desirable
