Interim Assistant Head of Student Support – East London – 6 months
As the Assistant Head of Student Support, you will lead the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing student well‑being and academic success.
This role emphasises collaboration with teaching staff to identify student needs and monitor the effectiveness of support programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of student support initiatives
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify and address individual student needs
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support programs
- Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices in student support
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect within the college community
Experience
- Previous experience in a student support role within an educational institution
- Demonstrate experience in developing and implementing support programs
- Familiarity with educational policies and regulations related to student support
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in student support or special education are advantageous
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Ability to assess and respond to student needs effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
