Role Purpose:

  • To perform duties to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse – including the receipt/control and issuance of GMP and non GMP materials.
  • To ensure the areas have adequate supplies of consumables, other in-house stock items and equipment. This may include engineering stores items and industrial gases.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Warehouse specific tasks: Receipt/control and issuance of GMP and non GMP materials. To ensure the areas have adequate supplies of consumables, other in-house stock items and equipment. This may include engineering stores items and industrial gases. Inspection and sampling of raw materials to agreed schedule.
  • GMP and Safety responsibilities (at all times): To be aware of and act in accordance with all safety precautions and GMP requirements relevant to the task being performed. To attend GMP training sessions and ensure the training file and electronic record is maintained to the defined training plan.
  • House Keeping (at all times): Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems, shortages or equipment breakdowns. To perform periodic area and equipment temperature and over pressure checks, including equipment calibration checks in accordance with area requirements and procedures. Be responsible for all logbooks, ensuring that old versions are replaced.
  • Communication / time keeping (at all times): Ensure effective liaison/communication with all departments and the team, maintaining good relations at all times. Demonstration of reliability, good time keeping and a responsible team/customer orientated attitude. Actively engage in departmental continuous improvement activities, questioning current practices to actively promote and improve the area.
  • Call out: In accordance with schedule, training and competence be responsible as the on-call warehouse representative as required.
  • Warehouse additional activities (as required): Pick/pack/ship of GMP and non GMP materials. Inspection and operation of forklift other manual handling equipment.
  • Education: Educated to degree level (desirable).
  • Experience: Warehouse experience essential, GMP experience (Desirable). Knowledge: SAP, WMS, MS Office incl. Excel, Word (desirable).
