We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support. Our Domiciliary Service requires Support Workers to join us in making a substantial difference to the lives of those we support within the Adult Disability Service.
You will be welcomed into people’s homes and make their day‑to‑day routine something to look forward to with an upbeat attitude and friendly persona. The posts are for 37 hours per week, which will include some sleep‑ins and weekend working.
What we are looking for
- Passion – Commitment to supporting people with personal care, household chores, finances, medication and other day‑to‑day tasks, supporting them into the community, to maintain high spirits.
- Empathy & Resilience – Understanding the challenges faced by our service users, ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and ability to maintain motivation on difficult days.
- Reward – You will see the difference you make, and will be supported with an induction programme, mandatory training, and opportunities for career development (NVQ Level 3, apprenticeships).
Benefits
- Flexible working – up to 31 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays and 2 additional statutory Bank Holidays.
- Generous public sector pension with shared AVCs.
- Benefits package offering support groups, cycle‑to‑work scheme and other support.
- Blue Light Card Scheme providing discounts at various venues.
Development
You will receive support and development along your journey – many opportunities for personal growth and development, and the chance to make a difference, feel valued and achieve job satisfaction.
Inclusivity
We embrace equality and diversity and welcome all applicants.
