The Role

As a Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing shipments across Ocean, Air and Road Freight services, ensuring the smooth movement of cargo from origin through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing import and export shipments across multiple modes or transport
• Coordinating Ocean, Air and Road Freight movements
• Liaising with customers, overseas agents, carriers and suppliers
• Arranging bookings and monitoring shipment progress
• Handling freight documentation and customs‑related processes
• Providing customers with shipment updates and resolving operational issues
• Managing deliveries and supplier relationships
• Ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate shipment records and operational files
• Delivering a high level of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle

Qualifications

• Previous freight forwarding experience
• Experience handling both import and export shipments
• Knowledge of Ocean, Air and/or Road Freight operations
• Understanding of customs procedures and freight documentation
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience using freight forwarding systems
• A proactive and customer‑focused approach
