This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing acute mental health needs, helping to create a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment. You will work under the guidance and supervision of registered healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients across our Airedale and Bradford services. The post involves a 24‑hour service rota, including long days, nights, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of person‑centred care for individuals experiencing mental illness, including those presenting with challenging behaviours.
- Provide direct clinical care as delegated by registered staff, ensuring best practices are followed and care is delivered safely.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and dignified environment for all patients, families, and staff, in line with the Trust’s values of We Care, We Listen, We Deliver.
- Help maintain appropriate stock levels of clinical and non‑clinical supplies on the ward.
- Support patients on their journey to recovery by encouraging independence, engagement, and empowerment.
- Act as a positive role model for junior staff, providing guidance and supporting their development within the ward environment.
- Support the clinical team in meeting individual care needs and contribute positively to the ward environment.
