Requirements

• We need hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• We need containerisation and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• We need scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• We would value exposure to C#, .NET, or ASP.NET environments.
• We need experience migrating applications and services from on-premise environments into Azure.
• We need familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• We need a strong understanding of cloud security and governance principles.

Responsibilities

• We will design, build, and maintain Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• We will develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• We will implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation tooling.
• We will support the migration and modernisation of existing applications into Azure.
• We will improve monitoring, logging, and observability across environments.
• We will collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes.
• We will troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
• We will ensure environments adhere to security, resilience, and disaster recovery best practices.

We are a large UK-based legal organisation looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to join our Applications and Development team on an initial 3-month contract. The role is remote-first with very occasional office visits to Birmingham, typically around one day per month, and an immediate start is available. This is an outside IR35 contract paying £500-£550 per day. We are focused on driving automation, improving platform reliability, and supporting the continued migration and optimisation of applications within Azure while building scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
