Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer – Bristol

We have a brand‑new opportunity for a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Bristol office.

As a Senior or Principal Engineer, you will support and deliver electrical design services for a range of projects and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide design solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards, and you will help develop a team of technically competent, collaborative professionals.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day‑to‑day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multidisciplinary projects across several building sectors.
• Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
• Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative, and timely approach to delivery – this is a client‑facing role, with project meetings and brief translation within the project team.
• Work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
• Mentor and support our next‑gen professionals, including apprentices and graduates.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects.
• Experience of modern technical delivery processes, and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
• Demonstrable experience working with clients, contractors and architects in a design‑oriented/consultant role.
• Self‑awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.
• Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills and confidence.
