Product Manager, Orthopaedic Instruments – United Kingdom
Lead engagement of regional sales teams in the UK and Ireland to set and execute the annual marketing plan strategy and drive a high level of customer and sales engagement.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Marketing Plan – Develop an understanding of the linkages between all components of the Big Picture framework, author strategic documents including the annual marketing plan, product launch plans and translate the plan into specific region‑level activities. Write business reviews, marketing strategies, proposals and recommendations; determine execution tactics to align, target and track progress towards annual plan targets.
- Communication Strategy – Establish consistent, effective communication with the regional sales team, drive the commercial business message across all initiatives, act as the primary marketing point of contact, and articulate desired communications outcomes for downstream and MarComm teams.
- Competitive Insights – Assess impact of competitive dynamics, identify points of parity and difference through analysis, research product features and quality across the portfolio and maintain networks to obtain competitive information.
- Customer & KOL Engagement – Understand needs of primary and secondary customers, articulate the value proposition, work with the KOL network, explain product features, build relationships with new KOLs while maintaining existing ones, represent the division at meetings and sponsor Stryker consultants.
- Regional Marketing Insights – Develop knowledge of the regional market, gather and present segmentation data, guide sales teams to tailor efforts, collect Voice of Customer and Voice of Sales, feed insights back to internal partners and influence go‑to‑market direction.
- Commercial Responsibilities – Drive the budgeting process cycle, support sales enablement, responsiveness and forecasting, contribute to supply chain, pricing, brand positioning and effectiveness measurement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product management, marketing or a commercial role within the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of the UK and Ireland healthcare landscape and customer base.
- Experience engaging with and managing commercial relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate data and market insights into clear strategies and actionable plans.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland up to 50% of the time.
