Job Description:

Responsibilities

All duties are to be undertaken in accordance with the relevant legislation i.e. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Report to the transport office prior to your designated start time.

Daily vehicle checks for any defects. Any defects found – the relevant paperwork must be completed.

With the assistance of the dray mate, load temperature‑sensitive cask products onto the vehicle in a safe and orderly manner for the next day’s deliveries.

Safe unloading of full products at delivery points. Ensure all deliveries are handled professionally to reduce breakage. Safe loading of empties from deliveries.

Administration of paperwork – signatures on delivery notes, copies issued to customers, etc.

Ensure the load is safe before proceeding to the next delivery. Return to the brewery after the run is complete and unload the vehicle of empties at designated areas.

Report to the Transport Office to ascertain if other tasks are outstanding. Assist other departments as and when necessary.

Maintain a high level of cleanliness for yourself and the vehicle.

Maintain driver hours rules and regulations with regard to Tachographs and the Working Time directive.

Maintain high levels of customer service, aiming to exceed customer expectations at all times.

Attend relevant training courses that will assist with your current role.

Qualifications

Class 2 driving licence, up‑to‑date CPC and Tacho card.
