As a Care Assistant you will be responsible for:

• Understanding and addressing the normal health requirements of clients and the impact of continued care on client and family.
• Assisting clients with daily care needs that they would otherwise undertake themselves.
• Participating in holistic caring activities.
• Providing care to optimise client independence.
• Reading and acting on each client’s Care Plan to promote continuity of care.
• Respecting the client’s right to confidentiality.
• Managing moving, handling, dressing, and assisting residents with daily hygiene.
• Observing and reporting any changes in a resident’s condition.
• Reporting hazards or unsafe equipment to senior staff.
• Attending mandatory and development training sessions.

Desirable qualifications:

• Previous experience of care work in a hospital, care facility, or nursing home.
• A passion for caring for the elderly.
• NVQ2 / SVQ2 or QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care.
