Salary: £25,877.80 – £34,240 (full earning potential, starting salaries depend on experience and progression)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and sustain accommodation and reduce the risk of homelessness.
- Develop independent living skills, confidence, and personal resilience.
- Assist with access to housing, benefits, healthcare, treatment services, education, training, and employment opportunities.
- Improve wellbeing through tailored support planning and practical assistance.
- Reduce harm and engage positively with recovery-focused services related to drug and alcohol use.
- Build positive routines and strengthen connections within the local community.
- Provide flexible support through home visits, outreach work, welfare checks, and partnership working with external agencies.
- Work independently and as part of a supportive team to ensure compassionate, person-centred support reflects unique needs and goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Compassionate and motivated, committed to supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Experience with homelessness, substance misuse, mental health challenges, or social exclusion.
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and recovery-focused support approaches.
- Ability to build professional relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries.
- Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
- Confidence working independently in community and outreach settings, and collaboratively within a wider team.
- Flexible and proactive approach to supporting individuals with varying levels of need.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience in support work or housing-related services desirable; transferable skills and lived experience welcomed.
