Permanent Social Worker in Mental Health and Adult Social Care – Ormskirk Hospital. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our service. We have launched Living Better Lives in Lancashire, our new strengths‑based vision for Adult Social Care. Through this we are embedding innovative practice that will make a real difference to the lives of people in our communities. We are looking for a Social Worker to support us in delivering our vision of supporting people to achieve what matters to them, living independently in a place they call home.

Salary

£36,363 – £40,777

The role

Joining our Mental Health Team as a Social Worker, you will support adults with mental health needs through strengths‑based, person‑centred social work. You will work closely with health and partner agencies to promote recovery, reduce delays, support safe transitions and help people achieve the outcomes that matter to them. If you choose, we will support you to qualify as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner; following qualification you will be moved to a Grade 9 post and work on our AMHP rota.

Qualifications & Requirements

Social Work applicants must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with SWE. The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful, you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a disclosure. Further information can be found on the ‘Our Recruitment Process’ tab.
