SAP Security & Authorisations Lead – Permanent – Hybrid – Slough 3 days per week

We’re looking for an SAP Security & Authorisations Lead to join our team and support full lifecycle ECC and S/4HANA projects.
This is a hands‑on lead role where you’ll be trusted to shape the security approach, guide role design, support delivery, and help clients get to a solution that is secure, practical and fit for purpose.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of SAP Security and Authorisations activity across complex SAP programmes, including:
- Leading role design, build, administration and maintenance across ECC and S/4HANA
- Working with clients to understand access requirements and translate them into practical solutions
- Creating and reviewing blueprints, design documents and functional specifications
- Running or supporting security workshops with business and technical teams
- Advising on SAP Security best practice, authorisation concepts and access controls
- Analysing and resolving authorisation issues
- Supporting testing, UAT, cutover, go‑live and post‑go‑live stabilisation
- Coordinating with wider project teams to manage risks, dependencies and blockers
- Providing clear updates to clients, stakeholders and internal teams
- Building trusted client relationships and helping deliver a great AG experience
What we’re looking for
You’ll likely bring:
- Around 10+ years’ SAP Security and Authorisations experience
- Strong experience in ECC and S/4HANA role design, administration and maintenance
- Excellent understanding of SAP authorisation concepts, roles, profiles and security design
- Strong knowledge of SAP Security and Authorisation tables
- Experience troubleshooting complex authorisation issues
- Good understanding of SAP landscapes, transports and version compatibilities
- Experience creating security design documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and client‑facing skills
- Strong Excel skills for analysing user, role and access data
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to lead, advise and challenge when needed
Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, practical and comfortable taking ownership.
Experience in any of the following would be a bonus
- Oil & Gas, Energy, Natural Resources or Automotive
- SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes
- SAP NetWeaver, BW, BPC, EWM or SAP PS
- SAP GRC or access risk analysis
- Winshuttle, Prometheus, RPA or automation
- Agile SAP delivery environments
