Full Time Class Teacher – Post-16 Class Teacher
We are looking for a caring professional to support autistic pupils in a small group setting. You will deliver highly person‑centred education and plan engaging lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for post‑16 autistic pupils.
- Work with a team, therapists and other professionals to support pupils in achieving their potential.
- Lead your team in person‑centred planning and support for each individual pupil.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in supporting autistic pupils or teaching in an additional needs environment (desired).
- Commitment to safeguarding, welfare and professional development.
- Full training and support will be provided.
Salary and Working Conditions
Salary: Main Pay Scale 1 – 6 + SEN Allowance (£32,916‑£45,342) + SEN £2,787.
Location: Sutherland House School, a specialist non‑maintained school for autistic children aged 3‑19. Ofsted rating: Good.
