A Little More About Your Role
- As an experienced public health engineer working at Senior, Principal or Associate level, you will be taking a key role in the delivery of a range of our most prestigious projects.
- The Bristol or Cardiff office is involved in mission critical facilities associated with aviation, healthcare and defence sectors.
- You will be a client‑facing representative of WSP and will lead public health engineering delivery, providing innovative and sustainable solutions.
- You will incorporate WSP philosophies of sustainability, net zero carbon, digital design, modern methods of construction and smart systems into your design work.

- Building Services in Bristol consists of 25 mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers as well as sustainability consultants who form part of the National MEP Team of nearly 400 MEP engineers.

- You will be based in our Bristol office, with easy commuting options via the Bristol Temple Meads Train Station (10‑minute walk) and access to Bristol City Centre (10‑minute walk).
What We Will Be Looking For
- Working knowledge and experience in UK public health building services design, including relevant standards, codes and regulations at Senior, Principal or Associate level.
- The ability to work as part of a team, and also to manage junior engineers towards the delivery of key projects.
- Technical judgment and resourcefulness to feasibility studies, concept, scheme and detailed design, as well as construction support phases.
- The ability to represent WSP to clients, understanding and delivering client needs in engineering solutions.
- Management of the technical, cost and programme elements of project delivery.
- Ability to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC).
Required Technical Knowledge
- Building Water Services Design which includes domestic hot and cold water, greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting.
- Building Sanitary Drainage Design.
- Building Surface Water Drainage Design.
- Building Fire Suppression Systems Design.
- Building Gas Services Design.
- Building Medical gas systems design.
