Equine Groom Apprentice

Jayroc Stables are looking for a new member to join their team. They are predominantly a carriage driving yard competitively and for pleasure, but they also hack jump and school the horses. This is an excellent and rare opportunity to learn all about carriage driving from a top driver, Russell Hand.
Working hours will be 8:00am to 4:00pm, including some weekend work. Exact working pattern to be discussed with the employer. 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Mucking out, sweeping the yard
- Filling hay nets / water buckets
- Turning horses in and out / rugging up
- Putting horses on and off the horse walker
- Tacking up for driving as well as riding
- Riding available for the successful candidate
Requirements
You must be confident dealing with big, fit competition horses. The yard is accessible by train and bus, with a short walk from the bus stop. Please ensure you know how you will commute daily.
