Project Manager – Energy Performance & Decarbonisation Projects

Location: Role available in the North and South

Lead projects that are shaping the UK’s journey to Net Zero.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Energy Services team, delivering complex Energy Performance Contract (EPC) and decarbonisation projects from concept through to completion.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-value mechanical and electrical engineering projects that make a genuine difference, helping some of the UK’s largest healthcare and public sector organisations reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency and future-proof their estates.

The Role

As Project Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for delivering projects throughout the entire lifecycle—from Investment Grade Audit (IGA), design and procurement through construction, commissioning and final handover.

Working alongside Project Engineers, Commercial Managers, Planners and Construction Managers, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll also be the key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships while ensuring commercial success and exceptional project delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading EPC and decarbonisation projects from inception through to completion
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, risks and commercial performance
  • Coordinating engineering, procurement and construction activities
  • Driving safe delivery and ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards
  • Managing client relationships and acting as the primary project lead
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams and supporting continuous improvement
  • Working closely with technical specialists to deliver innovative engineering solutions

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent leadership and commercial awareness.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience delivering M&E building services or engineering construction projects
  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency, decarbonisation or carbon reduction projects
  • Experience managing projects within live operational environments, ideally healthcare
  • Excellent commercial and financial management skills
  • Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience delivering Energy Performance Contracts (EPC), Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) projects or working within healthcare, education or public sector environments would be highly advantageous.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a project management role—it’s an opportunity to help deliver sustainable engineering solutions that have a lasting impact.

You’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team where you’ll work on technically challenging projects, influence major infrastructure investment and play a key role in delivering the UK’s decarbonisation ambitions.

If you’re an experienced Project Manager looking to take the next step in your career while making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
