Vulnerability Management Manager
For our Innovation & Technology department in London we are looking to hire a Vulnerability Management Manager, Full Time, Permanent Position.
We are shaping a technology‑driven bank and need an experienced professional who will lead and coordinate the identification, assessment, and mitigation of security vulnerabilities across Berenberg. The role reports to the Head of Cyber Security Operations and works closely with IT, development and risk management teams.
What you will do
- Lead regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across systems, applications, and network infrastructure.
- Analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities by criticality and potential impact to the organisation.
- Work with IT, development, and other teams to develop and implement timely remediation plans.
- Produce clear reports on assessment findings, risk analysis, and remediation status.
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities and apply this to continuously improve the vulnerability management programme.
- Ensure activities meet relevant regulatory requirements and support related audits.
Who we are looking for
- 5–7 years’ experience in vulnerability management, ideally within financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field; certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools (e.g. Nessus, Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7) and network/application security practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical findings for non‑technical audiences.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives to completion.
