Our Lady & St Paul’s RC Primary School are currently seeking a Caretaker. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi‑academy trust.
Our Lady & St Paul’s R.C. Primary School is a caring, supportive and forward‑thinking Academy, part of the St Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Multi Academy Trust. Based in Heywood, the school has excellent transport links to the surrounding areas of Rochdale, Bury and Manchester with the M60 and M62 within easy reach.
Main duties will be to ensure that the school and its grounds are cleaned and maintained to keep school a safe environment for all its users. To carry out checks in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations and arrange for regular maintenance and emergency repairs to be carried out where necessary.
- Has experience of being a Caretaker and/or experience of working in maintenance/trades
- Have ability to use judgement to interpret information and make decisions.
- Has the ability to complete documentation essential for the duties of the post
- Has the ability to undertake tasks that require physical effort, e.g. lifting, porterage duties, working at height.
- Has good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues and children.
