Skilled Operator – PM Shift (Contract Position)

Job Overview

Contract position at Yeo Valley Newton Abbot, part of the production team for single‑serve desserts and ice cream under Yeo Valley and own label brands. This role is on the nights shift (17:45–22:00 or 17:45–00:00 7 days a week) and is a fixed‑term contract until 12 December 2026. The successful candidate will support a fast‑paced production environment, manage machinery, and maintain high standards of health, safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Embrace health & safety and quality requirements.
• Pack well‑known products.
• Operate various machinery (filling, packing, forming or CNC machines).
• Demonstrate commitment to delivery, lead by example and complete paperwork accurately.
• Apply current GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Take apart, clean and rebuild production equipment.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience operating machinery (filling, packing, forming or CNC machines).
• Good communication skills and effective use of numeracy and literacy for documentation and record‑keeping.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
• Commitment to maintaining high cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Highly engaged and a good team player.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
