We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant (part-time) to join a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets from September. This SEN Teaching Assistant (part-time) role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible position while making a positive impact supporting pupils with special educational needs.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant (part-time) will provide classroom-based and one-to-one support for pupils with Autism, ADHD and a range of additional learning needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant (part-time), you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help pupils engage with learning, build confidence and achieve their individual targets.
This SEN Teaching Assistant (part-time) opportunity would suit someone with previous experience supporting children with SEND who enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive school team.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEND
- Support pupils during classroom learning and interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Implement strategies outlined by the class teacher and SENCO
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with school staff and parents
Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential
- Experience within a primary school is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
