Overview
Leggwork is working with a growing and technically focused surveying business delivering high-quality Topographical, Utility and Measured Building Survey services across a range of infrastructure, construction and development projects. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a CAD Technician to join their Essex-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD and survey data processing experience who wants to work within a modern surveying environment supporting major UK projects. The role will focus on processing and producing accurate survey drawings from Topographical and Utility survey data, working closely with surveyors and project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables across multiple live projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and produce high-quality CAD drawings from Topographical and Utility survey data
- Generate accurate 2D survey outputs using AutoCAD and associated software
- Interpret and process survey information collected from site teams
- Manage and organise incoming survey data efficiently and accurately
- Produce utility drawings in line with PAS128 standards where required
- Support surveyors and project teams with drawing revisions and technical queries
- Ensure deliverables are completed to required standards, specifications and deadlines
- Maintain drawing records and project documentation
- Work collaboratively with operational and technical teams across multiple projects
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a CAD Technician within surveying, utilities, construction or infrastructure sectors
- Strong AutoCAD skills (essential)
- Experience processing Topographical and Utility survey data
- Good understanding of survey drawings and associated data workflows
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable
- Experience using SCC / N4CE software
- Background within surveying or geospatial environments
- Knowledge of PAS128 utility survey standards
