Overview
Applications are invited from committed and experienced Senior Social Workers to join the Rapid Response and Reablement Team, part of Adult Integrated Community Health and Social Care Service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
This Band 7 post requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to prioritise, manage time effectively, and cope with stressful situations under pressure.

Reporting
Reporting to the Social Work Manager, you will:
- Deliver a high-quality, evidence-based casework service to all service users, holding cases within the Rapid Response and Reablement caseload
- Provide consultation, support, specialist advice and joint working within the integrated services to deliver person-centred care and support
- Take a leadership role within the team, acting in an advisory capacity to members of the multidisciplinary team on social care issues relating to adults, educating or acting as a mentor as appropriate
- Provide training, consultation and supervision for less experienced social workers, support workers and student social workers in this practise area
Salary and Benefits
The current Band 7 salary range is £57,635 to £75,789 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with current or eligible for Social Work England registration
- Current or recent senior Band 6 UK Adult Community sector experience, including managing own caseload
- Experience providing training and supervision for less experienced social workers, support workers and student social workers
- Ability to make judgments and decisions with confidence
- Active clean and current car driving licence; own vehicle required (mileage expensed at full rate)
