Parts Advisor
Redish Motorsport – Bishopsworth, Bristol (BS13 7TT) Full-time, permanent | Salary: £30,000 – £33,000
We are recruiting for a Parts Advisor to work within our Redish Motorsport Parts Department. If you have a passion for vehicles and vehicle parts – particularly BMW – then this is the perfect role for you. You will be the backbone of a busy department serving our growing workshop team.
Founded in 2009, Redish Motorsport has grown into one of the UK’s most respected BMW M-Power specialists – trusted for complex diagnostics, known-fault repairs, restorations and conversions that main dealers won’t touch. Customers travel from across the UK and Europe to put their cars in our hands. Our Parts Department, built from scratch and going from strength to strength, keeps our growing workshop moving.
THE ROLE
- Using computerised parts catalogues to locate part numbers and prices.
- Serving workshop technicians for both planned and unplanned parts requests.
- Pre-picking and issuing reserved parts to workshop bookings on the DMS.
- Receiving parts into stock and keeping prices up to date on the system.
- Placing stock orders with the local BMW dealer and other suppliers.
- Sourcing and ordering special-order parts from suppliers other than BMW.
- Managing parts returns to suppliers and obtaining credit notes.
- Maintaining stock accuracy through regular stock-takes.
- Creating new parts and locations on the system.
- Sorting, cataloguing and managing the BMW special-tools bay.
- Continually communicating with service advisors and technicians.
- Occasional customer-facing service at the parts counter, as required.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience within a busy parts department in the automotive industry.
- A passion and enthusiasm for BMW vehicles and their parts.
- Confident using parts catalogues and a DMS or similar stock system.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Well organised, with a smart appearance and a team-player attitude.
- A full UK driving licence.
Room to grow: Our Parts Department is expanding, and with genuine progression toward Senior Parts Advisor and into our upcoming Parts Sales & E-Commerce operation there is real progression available for the right person.

- Competitive £30,000 – £33,000 salary matching or improving on main-dealer rates.
