KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Potters Bar, Hertfordshire

Part‑time, mornings only (5 days per week) – Minimum 1‑year contract, with potential to increase to full‑time from January and become permanent from April.

Start date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate).

Salary: £95 – £125 per day (FTE).

We are looking for a caring and dedicated KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant/LSA to provide tailored one‑to‑one support to a Key Stage 2 pupil, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to pupils with additional learning or emotional needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to deliver targeted support.
• Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to helping every child succeed.
• Support the pupil in accessing learning and building confidence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience working with primary‑aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent experience are required.
• Confidence in providing one‑to‑one support.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
