Job Description n PSV Mechanic n n n £26.35 per hourn n Full-time | 5 out of 7 shift rota (mornings, afternoons & late shifts)n n n n Are you an experienced PSV Mechanic, PCV Engineer, HGV Technician or Bus Mechanic looking for your next engineering opportunity? n n Join Arriva and play a vital role in keeping our fleet moving safely and reliably — including supporting the introduction of our new electric buses as we move towards a more sustainable future. n n n n What You’ll Be Doing n n n Servicing, maintenance, and repair of PSV vehicles n Mechanical and electrical fault finding and diagnostics n MOT preparation and preventative maintenance inspections n Vehicle safety inspections and quality control checks n Roadside breakdown response and reactive repairs n Using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop technology n Working collaboratively within a skilled engineering team n Shift work including earlies, lates, and weekends (5 days out of 7) n   n n n What We’re Looking For n n n n n Proven experience as a PSV/HGV mechanic or engineer (automotive, heavy vehicle, or rail considered)n n n n Level 3 qualification in Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)n n n n Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsn n n n Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamn n n n Full UK driving license (PCV/HGV desirable, but not essential)n n n n Electrical systems knowledge (desirable but not essential)n n n n Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekendsn n n n n What You’ll Get in Return n n n n n £26.35 per hourn n n n 25 days holidayn n n n Structured engineering career progressionn n n n PCV licence training provided if requiredn n n n Contributory pension schemen n n n Ongoing training and development, including upskilling on electric vehicles and new technologyn n n n Free bus travel for you and your householdn n n n A supportive and collaborative team environmentn n IRTEC accreditation support available n n n n n Why Join Arriva? n n n We’re investing in the future of public transport.
