Trainee Lift Engineer ( Scotec )

Job Description

Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom. Working day: Full time. Work modality: Hybrid.

We are looking for Mechanical or Electrical Engineers in our Glasgow and Edinburgh area to join our growing organisation. Applicants will receive training by experienced Lift Engineers and the Technical Department and may enrol in the NVQ Level 3 course in either the Installation or Maintenance of Lifts. The role is part of our Transferable Skills Programme, designed to develop independent Lift Engineers.

The Role

As a Lift Engineer, you will perform installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of lifts and escalators. You will work under supervision, gradually assuming greater responsibility as you complete training milestones.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical or Electrical background, demonstrated through education or recent work experience
• Level 2 Foundation Course in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations, or BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
• The ability to follow instructions and ensure safety guidelines are followed at all time
• Willingness to develop and learn new skills
• Clean UK driving licence
