Job Description:

Job Purpose

Carry out day-to-day processing operations support within the client’s Manufacturing and Warehouse Services concerning industrial powder packing / repacking, food & chemical processing, stock management and Health & Safety requirements. Provide support to other functions within the warehouse and work with the Process Lead to meet all processing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing work and assist in the production, packing and re-packing activities within the Industrial Powder Packing/Repacking facility, Food Production Rooms and Warehouse areas across three sites.
  • Manage stock levels in conjunction with the Process Lead.
  • Carry out cleaning activities to maintain a high standard of hygiene in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the writing and review of procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Support other processing activities as required.
  • Check finished records to ensure first-time compliance.
  • Manage warehouse and stock movements.
  • Produce weekly and monthly stock reports relating to chemical and food processing activities.
  • Ensure all packaging is available when needed.
  • Taken photos, scan documents and e‑mail for record keeping.
  • Facilitate stock audits.
  • Record and maintain work instructions to accredited standards (BRC, FSSC, ISO).
  • Re‑order consumables.
  • Liaise with QC and H&S to maintain standards of Quality Management, Health & Safety, hygiene and security.
  • Arrange transportation for finished goods, including deliveries and collections.
  • Maintain detailed records of transport transactions in conjunction with BSC.
  • Ensure correct handling of materials at all times and follow MSDS requirements.
  • Maintain high food safety standards.
  • Safely load and unload materials and finished goods.
  • Raise near‑miss and incident reports.
  • Identify locations of raw materials and finished products.
  • Check receipt of orders against purchase orders.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
  • Support other warehouse staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience to BRC, FSSC, GMP or similar standards.
  • Forklift truck licence and full driving licence.
  • Clear written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, especially with weights and measures.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Understanding of SDS, COSHH and Risk Assessments.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of handling chemicals and labelling/packing in accordance with IATA and ADR regulations.
  • Experience operating within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience within a customer service environment.

Benefits

Basic salary of £26,000 per annum plus benefits (salary negotiable based on experience).
