Contract Type: Full time, permanent

At Tes, we’re on a mission to power schools and enable great teaching worldwide. Behind that mission is a growing data capability – and we’re now looking for a commercially minded analytics leader to help us turn data into action.

This isn’t a traditional reporting role. You’ll act as a strategic partner to our Finance, Operations, and Transformation teams, working at the heart of the business to shape decisions, influence direction, and ensure our data delivers real impact. You’ll bridge the gap between business and data – translating complex challenges into clear, actionable insights, and helping teams prioritise what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership: You’ll partner with Shared Services business units, particularly Finance, Ops, & Transformation, and collaboratively work towards their objectives and goals
  • Commercial Focus: You have deep understanding of effort vs impact, and use this to prioritise appropriately
  • Data Strategy, Culture and Literacy: You’ll guide those around you in the use of data and the technology at Tes
  • Analysis & Story‑Telling: You’ll be an experienced operator in analysis and drawing insights, and you’ll use your story‑telling ability to drive data‑driven actions

What will you need to succeed?

  • An ability to challenge the status quo, and a self‑starter in doing so
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience, you’ll be a strategic advisor and will lean on your communication and influencing skills to ensure data is at the heart of our decision making processes
  • Domain expertise – you’ve worked with SaaS subscription data, and Finance and change teams before. You’ll be as familiar with ARR and retention rates as you are with supporting change.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering or shaping successful data products
  • Agile best practice, and an MVP mindset
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal skills, able to translate concepts into easily understood diagrams and visuals for both technical and non‑technical people alike.
  • SQL (experience of dbt particularly)
  • Dashboard and BI design (Looker especially)

What do you get in return?

  • 25 days annual leave rising to 30
  • State of the art offices
  • Access to a range of benefits via My Benefits World
  • Free eye care cover
  • Life Assurance
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • EAP (Employee assistance programme)
  • Quarterly Tes Socials
  • Access to an extensive Learning and Development menu
