Data Centre Technical Operations Engineer
Location: London, United Kingdom (On-site). Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 months). Daily Rate: £203.44 – £226.00. Working Pattern: Full Time (5 days a week).
The Adecco Group seeks a Data Centre Technical Operations Engineer to support our cutting‑edge data centre operations in London. The role involves operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment, troubleshooting facility and rack‑level issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level issues.
- Perform essential maintenance tasks, including HVAC preventive maintenance, rack power installations, and other preventive maintenance.
- Conduct daily operational readings and log equipment performance metrics.
- Supervise contractors for servicing and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Respond to off‑hour emergency calls to ensure rapid resolution of issues.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls) and key electrical competencies.
- Proficiency with UPS, switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, and transformers.
