Job Description
The role of the Electrical Supervisor will be pivotal to Irwin M&Es ongoing growth and success in procuring and delivering long-term contracts within our Energy & Renewables division. Full training and development would be provided with this role so would be the perfect opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to take the next step in their career.
The job role will include:
- A full-time post, working 39 hours per week
- Managing a team of electricians, apprentices and roofing teams
- Controlling the quality of electrical, roofing installations and associated civil works
- Learning about new and emerging technologies
- Providing support with planning & programming of work with the Contracts Manager
- Assisting with estimates and measures where required
- Auditing of ongoing works for quality and H&S compliance
- Liaise with clients and attend client meetings
- Carrying out work according to Irwin M&E policies and procedures
- Ensuring all relevant working practices comply with the statutory Health & Safety (NI) Order
- Company van and mobile telephone is included
Essential Skills & Experience
- Time served as an Electrician
- C&G Level 3 NVQ in Electro Technical Services or equivalent
- IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- Ability to lone work and be self-motivated
- Competent to lead a team of skilled engineers
- Good H&S knowledge
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience with Solar PV & EV Charging installations
- Solar PV and EV Charging qualifications
- H&S qualification to the level of CSR Gold or equivalent
- Previous experience of leading a team
- Ability to use IT including Word, Excel & Office
- Security clearances desirable e.g. CTC/Access NI
- Driving Licence

- Is able to discuss and promote other niche services with clients and consultants that Irwin M&E can provide that would maximise opportunities
- Shows ability to manage and deal with multi-tasking and heavy workloads, so prioritising is of importance
- Be willing to attend seminars and courses where required
- Be aware of and work within Irwins guidelines and Helpdesk procedures
