Reserving Manager – Personal & Commercial Lines
Location: London
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in-office, flexible working)
Experience Level: Nearly or Fully Qualified Actuary with ~7 years of experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Reserving Manager to join a dynamic team in the personal and commercial lines space. Reporting directly to the Head of Retail Reserving, you will lead a small team and play a key role in driving reserving excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead reserving processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS 17 standards.
- Analyze loss ratios and monitor market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Claims, and Underwriting teams to support business objectives.
- Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a high-performance culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Nearly or Fully Qualified Actuary with approximately 7 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in IFRS 17, loss ratios, and market trend analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, or ResQ is highly advantageous.
- Prior management experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a small team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
